What this site collects, what it does not, and why.

imlucas.dev is a personal blog written and run by Lucas Ribeiro. It has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no contact form, so there is nothing for you to type in and nothing I store about you as an individual. This page covers the three things that do happen when you visit: analytics, a theme preference kept in your browser, and ordinary server logs.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6TF9NP73WP) to see which posts get read, where visitors come from and which devices they use.
Google sets first-party cookies (_ga and
_ga_*) for this and processes the data under its
own privacy policy. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. I look at the
numbers in aggregate to decide what to write next. I do not build visitor profiles, run
ads, or share the data with anyone.
You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on, with any content blocker, or by
blocking the googletagmanager.com domain. The site works
exactly the same without it.
Your theme preference
Choosing light or dark mode stores a single value (theme) in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and you can clear it from
your browser settings at any time.
Search
The search box runs entirely in your browser against a static index. Your queries are not sent to this server or to anyone else.
Server logs
The site is a set of static files served by Hostinger. Like any web server it records access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp) for security and operations, and Hostinger keeps them under its own retention policy. I do not use these logs to identify visitors.
Third-party links
Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave imlucas.dev.
Content and AI systems
The posts here are public. The site's robots.txt declares content signals allowing search indexing, AI grounding and AI training, and the API page lists the machine-readable versions of every page. None of this involves data about you.
